Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conducted an aerial survey of Prayagraj on Saturday, reviewing the roads leading to the Maha Kumbh area and assessing the overall situation.
His focus was on key routes connecting the city to various districts, particularly those experiencing heavy traffic during and after the Mauni Amavasya bathing festival.
Prayagraj is linked to different districts through seven major routes.
During the Amrit Snan festival of Mauni Amavasya, a large number of devotees arrived at Maha Kumbh using private vehicles and Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation buses.
To manage the heavy influx, CM Yogi had earlier directed officials to ensure smooth movement by making necessary arrangements for devotees traveling from across the state and the country to take a holy dip at Triveni Sangam.
Following his instructions, officials have implemented several measures to ease traffic congestion on highways and within the city.
Adequate parking facilities have set up along all major routes to ensure systematic vehicle management.
Additionally, transportation has arranged from the parking areas to the Sangam for devotees’ convenience.
Signages in multiple languages have installed, and essential amenities have been provided along highways to enhance the comfort of visitors.
