Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed saints and religious leaders at the Vishva Hindu Parishad’s (VHP) Sant Sammelan at Mahakumbh. He stressed the need to strengthen Sanatan Dharma’s unity and integrity. He called the Mahakumbh the world’s largest spiritual gathering.
The CM stated, “It’s not just a religious event. It’s a reflection of Sanatan Dharma’s grandeur and divinity.” He highlighted that over 10 crore devotees had already participated, and the number is expected to reach 45 crore by the event’s end.
Yogi Adityanath explained that Sanatan Dharma transcends sects, castes, and regions. It offers respect to all forms of worship. He honored Sikh Gurus, Jain monks, and other followers for their sacrifices in preserving Sanatan Dharma. He described it as a vast banyan tree, uniting all through its teachings.
The CM also credited the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Kashi Vishwanath Dham’s transformation, and the grandeur of Mahakumbh to the efforts of both the government and saints. He stated, “These achievements are the result of the guidance and unwavering commitment of the saints.”
Yogi Adityanath shared that in 2016, Ayodhya had 2.36 lakh devotees, but in 2024, the number surged to 12–15 crore. He also praised the saints for their role in preserving the purity of the Ganga River.
He linked these spiritual accomplishments to the government’s welfare initiatives. He said, “Through the Ram Rajya model, four crore poor families have received homes, and 12 crore farmers have received support.”
Welfare And Development Programs Lead To Progress
He pointed to other initiatives, such as 10 crore families receiving free LPG connections and 80 crore people benefiting from free rations. The CM noted that these measures reflected India’s growing economic and social progress.
Yogi Adityanath also acknowledged India’s infrastructure development, citing projects like highways, expressways, railways, and metro systems. He also highlighted the creation of world-class institutions and universities. These, he said, reflect India’s inclusive growth model.
He credited the VHP for bringing Sanatan Dharma to the global stage. The CM concluded, “The Mahakumbh isn’t just a religious event but a platform for conveying the unity and integrity of Sanatan Dharma to the world.” He called on everyone to share the message of Sanatan Dharma with the global community.
