Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Prayagraj on Friday to review preparations for the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025. He will inaugurate development projects worth Rs 7,000 crore, aiming to enhance infrastructure and cultural heritage in the city.
During his visit, PM Modi will perform rituals at the Sangam, Akshay Vat, and Lete Hanuman Temple. He will also inspect projects designed to improve Prayagraj’s connectivity, boost spiritual tourism, and provide better facilities for pilgrims.
PM to Launch Key Infrastructure Projects
The Prime Minister will dedicate 10 new road overbridges (ROBs), permanent ghats, and riverfront roads to the city. He will also launch rail and road projects to ensure seamless connectivity across Prayagraj.
In line with his vision for a clean Ganga, PM Modi will unveil projects to intercept, tap, and treat smaller drains. These efforts aim to prevent untreated water from flowing into the river.
Additionally, the PM will inaugurate drinking water and electricity infrastructure projects. These initiatives will improve the city’s essential services for residents and visitors alike.
Focus on Pilgrim Convenience and Spiritual Tourism
PM Modi will introduce the ‘Sahayak’ chatbot, a digital assistant designed to guide pilgrims and provide updates about Mahakumbh 2025. He will also unveil temple corridor projects, including Bharadwaj Ashram, Shringverpur Dham, Akshay Vat, and Hanuman Temple corridors, to enhance access for devotees.
The Prime Minister’s visit will emphasize Prayagraj’s transformation into a global hub for cultural and spiritual tourism. These projects aim to boost the local economy, improve transportation, and showcase the city’s rich heritage on an international stage.
