Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his greetings to the Border Security Force (BSF) on its 60th Raising Day, commending their unwavering courage and dedication to national security. The BSF, established in 1965, marked the milestone with a pledge to continue upholding its motto and commitment to the nation.

In a heartfelt message shared on X, formerly Twitter, PM Modi lauded the BSF’s critical role in defending the nation. “Warm wishes to the Border Security Force on their Raising Day! The BSF stands as a critical line of defence, embodying courage, dedication, and exceptional service. Their vigilance and courage contribute to the safety and security of our nation,” he wrote, emphasizing their unparalleled contribution.
BSF’s Commitment To Its Motto
Marking the occasion, the BSF reiterated its dedication to the country. “As #BSFturns60 today, we, the Seema Prahari, proudly rededicate ourselves to the service of our Nation. We remain steadfast in our commitment to uphold our motto,” the force stated.
Tributes From Home Minister And Leaders
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also honored the BSF’s sacrifices and bravery. Sharing his message on X, he wrote, “The soldiers of @BSF_India have safeguarded the honor and ambitions of Bharat with the fiercest determination, never thinking twice to lay down their lives for it. Their valor and sacrifices are the undying wellspring of inspiration that has raised generations of patriots.” He paid homage to those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

The BSF is recognized as the world’s largest border-guarding force, tasked with securing India’s 6,386.36 km international borders with Pakistan and Bangladesh. On this momentous occasion, the force reaffirmed its dedication to protecting the nation and its people.
