Preparations for Maha Kumbh 2025, which will likely host over 45 crore devotees, are advancing rapidly with the construction of a state-of-the-art control room in the mela grounds.
The facility is being developed to ensure seamless coordination and efficient management of one of the world’s largest religious gatherings.
The control room, designed by renowned Bollywood art director Pawan Pandey, will likely be operational by 25 November, just seven days after construction began.
Pandey, known for his expertise in creating elaborate film sets, is bringing his innovative approach to this critical infrastructure.
He further stated, “This control room is pivotal to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision for a flawless Maha Kumbh. It will feature cutting-edge monitoring systems to ensure devotees have a safe and smooth experience.”
Control Room Key Features
- Modern Design: Built in an L-shape, the facility will integrate advanced communication tools and monitoring systems to oversee various event operations.
- Dedicated Cabins: Over 50 officers will manage key areas, including security, healthcare, water supply, and sanitation, from their individual cabins.
- Media & Conference Facilities: A conference hall and media blocks will facilitate real-time updates and ensure effective information dissemination to the public.
- Drone Surveillance: High-tech drones will monitor activities across the expansive fairgrounds to enhance security and crowd control.
Meanwhile, Additional Mela Adhikari Vivek Chaturvedi highlighted the importance of the control room, saying it would serve as the nerve center for strategy planning, coordination, and VIP meetings.
The facility however handles emergency responses, ensuring timely interventions during the event.
Three dedicated entry gates to the control room are however nearing completion, providing secure access for officials.
The project however underscores the state government’s commitment to delivering a well-organized and globally recognized Maha Kumbh in 2025.
As the countdown to Maha Kumbh 2025 begins, this high-tech control room will likely revolutionize the management of large-scale religious events, setting a new benchmark in innovation and efficiency.
