The Yogi government is ensuring Mahakumbh 2025 becomes a historic event. They are focusing on improving roads leading to Prayagraj. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and the Public Works Department (PWD) have begun work to enhance the roads connecting the city.

Millions of devotees will travel to Prayagraj by road. They will be welcomed by wide roads, multilingual signboards, greenery, and artwork. The toll plazas will also offer all essential facilities for a smooth and comfortable experience.

Beautification of Roads and Highways for Devotees’ Comfort

On Wednesday, NHAI Chairman Santosh Kumar Yadav reviewed ongoing projects with officials. He emphasized that the roads must not only be functional but also aesthetically pleasing. He instructed officials to install as many signboards as possible along roads, add safety inspectors, and improve visibility with painted dividers and Cat’s Eyes. Yadav also called for improved road lighting and artwork along the routes. This will create an uplifting environment for the devotees traveling to Prayagraj.

Toll Plazas to Be Beautified and Staff Trained for Smooth Operations

Yadav focused on the toll plazas during the meeting. He insisted on making them visually appealing and well-maintained. He ordered the installation of clean toilets and streamlined facilities. Trained staff will work in three shifts to ensure smooth operations. Yadav also called for ambulances and incident vehicles to be stationed at strategic locations for emergencies during the event.

The review meeting also included Divisional Commissioner Vijay Vishwas Pant, ADG Bhanu Bhaskar, Mela Adhikari Vijay Kiran Anand, DM Ravindra Kumar Mandhad, and SSP Kumbh Rajesh Kumar Dwivedi.
