The Prayagraj Museum will organize a grand exhibition at the Maha Kumbh 2025 to display India’s rich culture and heritage. Supported by the Yogi government, the exhibit will include replicas of historical statues, artworks, and a preview of the upcoming Yuge-Yugin Museum in Delhi.

Ancient and Modern Art Collections on Display

One of India’s four national museums, the Prayagraj Museum holds a vast collection of sculptures, paintings, manuscripts, and historical artifacts. Visitors will see sculptures like the Ashoka Pillar and Bharhut Stupa, along with medieval statues representing Vaishnav, Shakta, Shaiva, and Jain traditions. The exhibit will also showcase miniature and modern paintings, clay sculptures, coins, weapons, and other cultural treasures.

Digital Exhibit and Museum Trailer Planned

Deputy Curator Dr. Rajesh Mishra confirmed that the Yogi government is providing space for the museum’s digital exhibit, featuring historical artifacts and an “Amrit Kalash.” Replicas of statues from the Prayagraj Museum, including popular exhibits like the Mohini statue from Kumbh 2019, will be displayed for visitors. Extensive preparations are ongoing, with discussions underway between the museum and fair authorities to finalize the exhibit location.

The Yogi government aims to give Kumbh visitors a rich experience of India’s art, culture, and heritage amidst the ongoing preparations for Maha Kumbh 2025.
