Israel’s military reported that Hezbollah launched approximately 300 rockets and projectiles into Israel on Tuesday, marking the second day of the most significant attacks on Lebanon since 2006. This escalation has heightened tensions in the region, with fears of a broader conflict.
For the first time, Hezbollah’s rocket fire reached Atlit, a coastal town south of Haifa, where an explosive drone fell. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that while additional drones were launched toward the area, they were intercepted, and no casualties were reported.

Hezbollah confirmed the attack, declaring that its fighters had conducted “an aerial operation” targeting Israel’s special naval task unit, Shayetet 13, at the Atlit base. The group claimed to have struck their targets with precision, as reported by Xinhua.
Rosh Pina Suffered Extensive Damage
In the Upper Galilee region, falling rockets or parts of intercepted missiles ignited fires, and a residential home in Rosh Pina suffered extensive damage. Local hospitals reported treating around 23 individuals, primarily for panic-related issues rather than physical injuries.
As night fell, Israel launched a new wave of airstrikes in Lebanon, targeting numerous Hezbollah positions. The IDF reported extensive strikes in the Beqaa region and southern Lebanon, claiming to have dismantled critical infrastructure associated with Hezbollah’s military capabilities.
Lebanese military sources indicated that Israeli warplanes conducted multiple raids on towns in the Tyre area and targeted Hezbollah sites in Jezzine. In a show of military readiness, the Israeli Defense Ministry announced exercises simulating combat operations within Lebanon.
Israel Had Dealt “Tough Blows”
Defense Minister Yoav Gallant emphasized the severity of the Israeli response, stating that Israel had dealt “tough blows” to Hezbollah’s command structure and had reportedly destroyed “tens of thousands” of rockets and missiles since the conflict reignited on Monday.
During a press briefing, Israeli military spokesman Daniel Hagari refrained from confirming or denying plans for a ground operation in Lebanon. The ongoing bombardment has resulted in over 550 fatalities, including civilians, and more than 1,800 injuries in Lebanon, raising significant concerns about the potential for a full-scale war involving regional powers.
