Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took a strong stance against the former Samajwadi Party (SP) administration on Saturday. Speaking at a ceremony at Dev Indravati Mahavidyalaya in Katehari, Adityanath accused the previous government of corruption and nepotism during recruitment processes.

“The days when chacha (uncle) and bhatija (nephew) and their thugs would exploit recruitment opportunities are over,” Adityanath declared. He was clearly targeting the SP leadership, suggesting that they had misused their power for personal gain.

The ceremony saw the distribution of appointment letters to nearly 2,500 individuals. Adityanath assured the audience that under his government, no one will dare to interfere with the future of young people. “If anyone tries to tamper with your destiny, we will seize their assets and use them for the welfare of the needy. We will establish shelters for women or institutions for underprivileged children, but we will not tolerate any corruption or dishonesty,” he stated.

In addition, the Chief Minister highlighted the district-level mega job and loan fair held as part of the event. Through the Swami Vivekananda Youth Empowerment Scheme and other programs, Adityanath distributed Rs 211 crore in loans and tablets to over 5,100 students. This initiative aims to support youth empowerment and provide essential tools for their educational and professional growth.
