Union Health Minister and BJP National President J P Nadda is likely to visit Goa on 23 August to lay the foundation stone for the party’s new state headquarters.

The foundation ceremony follows the Bhumi Pujan held on 20 July at Kadamba Plateau, located approximately 8 kilometers from the current BJP office in Panaji.

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and other prominent BJP leaders attended the initial ceremony.

Sadanand Shet Tanavade, BJP Goa President, confirmed that Nadda will lead the foundation-laying event.

Tanavade stated, “After the Bhumi Pujan last month, we are excited to have our National President, J P Nadda, lay the cornerstone of our new headquarters on 23 August.”

Chief Minister Sawant emphasized that the new headquarters will enhance the efficiency of party operations and serve as a motivational hub for BJP workers.

CM Sawant asserted, “The new building will be a dedicated space for every karyakarta and will inspire them to work diligently for the people of Goa.

Earlier in July, CM Sawant and Rajya Sabha MP Sadanand Shet Tanavade met with Nadda in New Delhi to extend the invitation for the foundation-laying ceremony.

During his visit, Nadda is likley to address party members, and hold meetings with MLAs and ministers from the state.

In a related development, the BJP’s core committee convened late Sunday evening, with the participation of Goa desk in-charge Ashish Sood, Union Minister Shripad Naik, and other senior party members.

The meeting focused on the ongoing Assembly session and the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan’ campaign.

The BJP holds a majority in the Goa Legislative Assembly with 28 out of 40 seats, and the support of five additional MLAs, including three independents and two from the MGP.
