J&K: Security Forces Release Sketches Of Terrorists Responsible For Attack On IAF Convoy In Poonch

Security forces on Monday released sketches of two terrorists in a bid to apprehend the perpetrators behind the attack on IAF convoy.

In a bid to apprehend the perpetrators, security forces released sketches of two terrorists on Monday. This development coincides with the heinous attack on Indian Air Force (IAF) vehicles in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district.

These sketches aim to aid in the identification and eventual capture of the individuals responsible for the assault.

Intensified efforts are underway to track down the individuals believed to be responsible for the assault.

The attack, which occurred on 4 May, resulted in the tragic loss of Corporal Nikky Pahadem and left four others injured.

According to officials, the assailants targeted two IAF vehicles in the Bakrabal (Sanai) area of Surankote in Poonch.

The incident has triggered a significant response from law enforcement agencies. The authorities have detained 20 individuals for questioning thus far.

A massive cordon and search operation is currently underway in several areas including Danna Top, Shahstar, Sheindra, and Sanai Top.

Senior officers from the Army and police, including the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 16 Corps and the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) for Jammu, visited the site of the attack to assess security arrangements.

Officials have appealed to the public for assistance in locating the suspects. They emphasized that any credible information leading to their arrest will be rewarded, with the informant’s identity kept confidential.

Meanwhile, to facilitate communication, four mobile numbers have been provided for individuals to share relevant information – 9541051982, 8082294375, 9541051982, and 8082294375.

The attack, attributed to a group of terrorists, underscores the persistent threat posed by insurgency in the region.

Security forces remain vigilant as they intensify efforts to ensure the safety and security of civilians and military personnel alike in Jammu and Kashmir.
