Lucknow : Amid a dispute over the adverse effects of the Covi shield vaccination, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav accused the BJP on Wednesday of endangering people’s lives by extorting political donations from the vaccine maker.

Yadav demanded a high-level court investigation, claiming that releasing such dangerous drugs amounted to conspiracy to murder, and those involved should face prosecution.
Around 80 crore Indians have received the Covi shield vaccination, which requires two doses per person, and the firm that developed the original formula has said that it increases the risk of heart attack, Yadav wrote in a post on X. “Those who have lost loved ones as a result of vaccination side effects or who feared the negative consequences of vaccines have had their concerns and worries confirmed,” he stated.
“Those who gamble with the lives of others will not be pardoned,” he warned. Astra Zeneca, the UK-based pharmaceutical company, has recognized that in extremely rare circumstances, its COVID-19 vaccine, known as Vaxzevria in Europe and Covishield in India, might induce blood clot-related adverse effects, but the causative relationship is unknown, according to court filings reported in UK media.

In India, the Serum Institute of India made the AstraZeneca vaccine. Attacking the BJP, the SP president added, “The ruling party has put the lives of the people at risk by accepting political donations from the vaccine manufacturing company. Neither the law or the public will ever forgive them.” Yadav stated that there should be a high-level judicial probe into this subject.
