Amarinder Singh, Sunil Jakhar and Jaiveer Shergil have been made BJP national executive members.
Bharatiya Janata Party is appointing once top Congress leaders in its executive body which is not only an elevation on the party platform but also a recognition as a leader by the biggest India political party.
In a recent statement issued on the party dais, three ex-Congress faces have been given national responsibilities on the platform of the saffron brigade. Former Punjab Chief Minister Amrinder Singh, ex-Lok Sabha Member of Parliament Sunil Jakhar and Jaiveer Shergil are among the names who have been given the recognition with responsibilities by the BJP.
Today on 2nd of December 2022, three big political names including Amarinder Singh, Sunil Jakhar along with its former UP president Swatantra Dev Singh have been appointed as members of its national executive by Bharatiya Janata Party.
Among the people who have been special invitees to the national BJP executive include Vishnu Deo Sai, Madan Kaushik, BJP’s former presidents of Chhattisgarh and Uttarakhand respectively, Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi, Amanjot Kaur Ramoowalia and Manoranjan Kalia all three belong to Punjab, have been given the national recognition in the party.
It also has been a huge alleviation for Former Congress leader Jaiveer Shergill who after joining the BJP today, has now been appointed as national spokesperson of the party.
The ex-Punjab CM Amrinder Singh was a former Member of the Legislative Assembly, Punjab and later was elected as Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha. The son of the last Maharaja of the princely state of Patiala, Amrinder Singh also was the president of Punjab PCC along with previously serving as the Chief Minister of Punjab for ten year (from 2002 to 2007 & 2017 to 202).
Former Congress leader Sunil Jakhar was an MP from the Indian National Congress for fifty long years until 2022. He joined the BJP in May, 2022, and that time he had claimed hat he wanted to support “nationalism, unity & brotherhood in Punjab”.
