The Allahabad High Court has rejected the PIL filed demanding a ban on the Pran Pratishtha Program of Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya to be held in 2024, terming it meaningless.
This order has been given by the division bench of Acting Chief Justice Manoj Kumar Gupta and Justice Kshitij Shailendra. The PIL was filed by Bhola Das of Ghaziabad. This order was passed in the absence of the petitioner’s advocate. He did not appear on the review call.
The petitioner said that Shankaracharya and Sanatan religious leaders did not agree on this programme. the inauguration of Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya by the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath should be stopped till the completion of Lok Sabha elections 2024.
On behalf of the Government of India, ASGI Shashi Prakash Singh, Advocate General Ajay Kumar Mishra, Additional Advocate General Manish Goyal, Chief Standing Advocate Kunal Ravi Singh and many advocates from the Central and State Government were present.
It was pleaded that the Pran Pratishtha Program has been completed. The cause of action of the petition does not exist. The petition has become meaningless. On this the court rejected the petition.
