Indian Railways is keeping no stone unturned in view the safety of passengers. In view of this a device will be placed near the loco pilot in the train engine which will immediately alert the loco pilot in case of negligence. If the loco pilot takes a nap in a moving train, a sound will be made from the device asking the driver to remain awake.
Similarly, if the loco pilot talks on the mobile for a long time, the device will tell the driver to keep the phone. That means this device will act as a guard for the loco pilot. This device is based on Artificial Intelligence. This particular device has also been tested. It will be installed in trains in the coming days.
Giving the above said information Chief Public Relations Officer of North Central Railway, Himanshu Shekhar said that there are many important things in this device which will help the railway passengers to travel safely.
Last year the Railway Board had asked the Northeast Frontier Railway to make a special device, under the Mission Raftaar Project of Indian Railways. This device named RDAS (Railway Driver Assistance System) has been created by Zonal Railways with the help of Artificial Intelligence.
CPRO, further added that if the loco pilot looks here and there while the train is operating, a sound will come from the device, the driver should look directly. This device has also been tested and was successful. It is being prepared to be installed in trains in the coming days.
