Vivek Ramaswamy, an Indian-American legislator, has argued for ending the Russia-Ukraine war with Moscow holding some of the Donbas region and Kyiv refusing to join NATO, which is considerably different from other US officials.

He also suggested that Russian President Vladimir Putin must withdraw from his military alliance with China in order to end the dispute.

Notably, biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy is scheduled to compete against Donald Trump in Republican primaries for the US presidential election.

Vivek Ramaswamy tweeted, “I will end the Ukraine War on terms that require Putin to exit his military alliance with China. The goal shouldn’t be for Russia to “lose.” It should be for the U.S. to win”, through his official ‘X’ handle.

Ramaswamy described the Russia-China military partnership as the single-biggest military threat to the United States and announced that he will visit Moscow after taking office.

In an interview, Ramaswamy said, “The Biden administration is so stubbornly attached to the idea of getting Xi Jinping to drop Vladimir Putin. What I think, we need to be doing is get Vladimir Putin to drop Xi Jinping. Just like Nixon went to China in 1972. I think Putin is like the new Mao. I will visit Moscow, and I will pull Russia out of military alliance with China”.

Furthermore, he stated, “The Russia-China military alliance is the single-biggest military threat that we face today. Hypersonic missile capabilities, and nuclear capabilities in Russia, are far ahead of us and China. And the naval capabilities of China are ahead of ours”.

“Combined with an economy, that we depend on for a modern way of life, those two nations are in a military alliance with one another and no one in either political party is talking about it. Worst of all, our engagements in Ukraine are further driving Russia into China’s arms”, he continued.

“As a result, my foreign policy is centered on weakening that alliance. I would freeze the current lines of control, leaving parts of the Donbas region under Russian control”, he explained.

“I would also pledge that NATO would not admit Ukraine to the alliance. Our goal should not be for Putin to lose, but for America to win. That is what this country has forgotten”, Ramaswamy added.

The 37-year-old congressman was born on August 9, 1985, in Cincinnati, Ohio, and reared there. His parents immigrated to the United States from Kerala.

Along with Nikki Haley and Hirsh Vardhan Singh, he is the third Indian-American to go off against former President Donald Trump in the primary in January of next year.
