US Military Aircraft Crashes In Australia With 20 People On Board

A United States military plane crashed during training in Australia’s Northern Territory on Sunday, killing roughly 20 personnel.

According to an Australian national broadcaster, many people were rescued after an Osprey vertical takeoff aircraft crashed during military training near the Tiwi Islands north of Darwin.

As per an emergency service incident map for the Northern Territory, on Sunday morning, an ‘aircraft crash’ was reported on Melville Island, some 60 kilometres (37 miles) north of the Australian mainland.

The Osprey was participating in the Predators Run operations, a series of warfighting drills conducted by the US and Australian militaries.
