According to an Australian national broadcaster, many people were rescued after an Osprey vertical takeoff aircraft crashed during military training near the Tiwi Islands north of Darwin.

As per an emergency service incident map for the Northern Territory, on Sunday morning, an ‘aircraft crash’ was reported on Melville Island, some 60 kilometres (37 miles) north of the Australian mainland.
