Trans Flight Attendant Known For United Airlines Ad Discovered Dead After Leaving A Heartbreaking Suicide Note Apologizing To “Everyone I Let Down”

Kayleigh Scott, a transgender flight attendant who rose to prominence after appearing in a United Airlines commercial, died after sharing an emotional message on social media.

According to The Independent, the 25-year-old was discovered dead in her Colorado home on Monday. She penned a heartbreaking letter to her friends and family on Instagram and Facebook, asking them to remember the “good memories we have shared”.

“As I take my final breaths and leave this living earth,” Scott wrote, “I would like to apologize to everyone I let down.” “I’m sorry I couldn’t be more helpful. I’m sorry I couldn’t be stronger for those I care about. I apologize for not being able to repay those who gave me their all. Please understand that my departure is not a reflection on you, but rather the result of my inability to change for the better”, the flight attendant continued.

Scott also mentioned a few of her loved ones in her post and apologized, saying, “I will see you all again on the other side”.

Andrea Sylvestro, Scott’s mother, confirmed her daughter died after posting the letter. “Kayleigh Scott…I am so unbelievably proud to have you as my daughter, proud and amazed by everything that you have done in your life, your smile was absolutely beautiful, your laughter was unbelievably contagious, your heart was bigger than any of us could ever understand”, Sylvestro wrote on Facebook.

Scott’s death is currently being investigated by the Denver Police Department. The Denver Medical Examiner’s office will make the final determination of the cause of death, according to the cops.

Separately, United Airlines expressed sorrow over Scott’s death. “We are deeply saddened by Kayleigh Scott’s tragic death and extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and coworkers”, the company said.

Notably, Kayleigh Scott made headlines in 2020 when she was featured in United’s diversity campaign. She spoke about the importance of coming out and living authentically in the Trans Day of Visibility video. “I used to be so embarrassed about being trans”, she admitted, adding that “all I wanted to do was blend in”.

Ms. Scott also spoke about her progress since coming out as transgender publicly the following year. She had mentioned having depression. “I’m having a hard time finding happiness and hope. I’m pleading with 2023 to be better for me. Please”, According to the outlet, she wrote.
