“The Era Of Global Warming Has Ended…” Says UN Chief Antonio Guterres

The Secretary General of the United Nations Security Council – Antonio Guterres gave the world a very imperative message on climate change on Thursday. He is urging the world to act upon the current increase in the global temperatures that were recorded in the month of July. He believes that the Earth has entered an “era of global boiling” surpassing global warming phase.

“Cruel summer” in the Northern Hemisphere

The Northern Hemisphere’s recent period of extreme heat has been referred to as a “cruel summer” by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, who also stressed that it is a catastrophe for the entire world. He warned that several temperature records will likely be broken in July 2023, underscoring the seriousness of the climate catastrophe. It is a catastrophe for the entire world, Antonio declared, adding that “July 2023 will break all records barring a mini-Ice Age over the next days.”

“Climate Change is here and it is terrifying,” says UN Chief on Global Warming

The head of the UN reaffirmed that the threat posed by climate change is not hypothetical but rather a dreadful reality that mankind is presently experiencing. The globe has reached a new phase where the effects of climate change are serious and immediate, he emphasised, and the era of global warming is ended.  “Climate change is here. It is terrifying. And it is just the beginning. The era of global warming has ended; the era of global boiling has arrived,” he stated.

“The air is unbreathable. The heat is unbearable. And the level of fossil fuel profits and climate inaction is unacceptable,” former Portuguese prime minister stated. Guterres urged leaders to move swiftly and urged an end to hesitation, excusese, and waiting for others to initiate. He demanded an immediate and comprehensive reaction to the problem.
