Targeted Bombardment On Fuel Station Kills 28 In Sudan

A targeted bombardment on a fuel station in Sudan has resulted in killing of 28 while 37 have sustained injury. Information received from volunteer groups and local media revealed that the attack took place in south of Khartoum, capital of Sudan.

South Khartoum emergency room and a local volunteer group releasing a statement on Sunday said, “The ammonia fuel station, in the new Market 6 in Mayo neighborhood, north of Bashair Hospital, was bombed, resulting in significant human and material losses.”

Providing further detail on the ground situation, the volunteer group said that medical efforts were going on to deal with the frightening state.

Notably, injuries included 29 burn cases, three of which were first degree burn and eight of the injured have sustained shrapnel wounds, Xinhua news agency reported.

Moreover, no party has taken responsibility of the attack yet. The Sudanese news portal Al-Rakoba confirmed on Sunday that 28 people have lost their lives while 37 others have sustained severe injuries in attack on ammonia fuel station in south of Sudanese capital.

Sudan is gripping with devastating conflict between Sudanese armed forces and paramilitary rapid forces since mind of 2023.

So far, horrific confrontation has led to staggering 27,120 fatalities leaving whopping 14 million people displace including internal and external displacement.
