Startup Growth Will Continue As India Stays Committed To Reforms: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday reaffirmed that India will continue its reform momentum. He also stressed that the country’s startup ecosystem will continue to grow in the years ahead.

Addressing the ‘Bharat Innovates’ event in Nice, France, PM Modi highlighted India’s rise as the world’s third-largest startup ecosystem and called on innovators, entrepreneurs, and technology leaders from around the world to collaborate with India in addressing global challenges.

“The number of startups in India will continue to grow as the country remains committed to reforms and innovation-driven development,” the Prime Minister stated.

PM Modi said India has built a robust innovation ecosystem over the past 11–12 years through policy support, startup-focused initiatives, and expanding incubation networks.

“Over the past 11–12 years, India has built a strong ecosystem for innovation. From patent filings to incubation networks, and from Startup India to policy support, this entire journey has progressed forward in mission mode,” Prime Minister Modi noted.

PM Modi emphasised the role of India’s youth in driving innovation. He said the country’s innovators are developing technologies and solutions capable of benefiting people across the globe.

“Come, collaborate with India and develop technological solutions for the world,” he further said.

The Prime Minister’s remarks came during the innovation-focused event that brought together startups, investors, and technology leaders from multiple countries.

PM Modi also underscored the growing strategic partnership between India and France. He described the relationship as one founded on trust, shared values and a common vision for the future.

“In this relationship, there is connection, and there is conviction as well. There is innovation, and there is inspiration, too. In this relationship, there are shared values and a shared vision as well,” PM Modi further noted.

“And on the foundation of this very relationship, over the past years, we have together launched new initiatives. We have given direction to new ideas. And we have made every possible effort to find solutions to global challenges. Whether it is the International Solar Alliance, dialogues related to AI, or our partnership ranging from security to sustainability,” the PM explained.
