Samantha Woll is reported to have fled the wedding the previous evening at around 12:30 in the morning.
According to reports, a suspect who was detained last week in relation to the death of Detroit synagogue leader Samantha Woll was freed after seventy-two hours. In Kalamazoo, Michigan, on Tuesday, November 7, the man was taken into custody. He wasn’t charged and was set free.
The man was close to Woll, according to people close to the Detroit Free Press, and he even went to her funeral following her murder. Samantha, 40, was discovered outside her house, fatally stabbed, last month.
After the suspect was taken into custody, the police declined to provide his identity, stating that more details would be made public “at the appropriate time.” Detroit Police Chief James White stated in a statement at the time, as reported by the New York Post, “While this is an encouraging development in our desire to bring closure for Ms. Woll’s family, it does not represent the conclusion of our work in this case.” “In order to maintain the integrity of the crucial steps that remain, the investigation’s specifics will remain classified at this time.”

What happened to Samantha Woll?
On October 21, Samantha’s body was found fatally stabbed outside her residence in the Lafayette Park neighborhood of the city, which is located east of downtown. Early in the morning, police reportedly responded to a 911 call for an unresponsive individual. Samantha is reported to have departed at around 12:30 am after spending the previous evening at a wedding. Police believe she may have been stabbed inside the residence and then staggered outdoors.
Samantha served as the Isaac Agree Downtown Detroit Synagogue’s president. She has previously worked for Attorney General Dana Nessel’s reelection campaign as well as Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin’s.
James had previously stated that there is no proof the murder was motivated by hatred. At a press conference on October 23, he stated, “We believe that this particular incident was not motivated by anti-Semitism, and that this suspect acted alone.” Investigators claimed at the time that they were “just short” of identifying the culprit.
