Royal expert predicts Meghan Markle won’t return to the UK, despite Prince Harry’s upcoming visit to London. Recent reports suggested Prince William and Princess Kate extended an invitation to Meghan, but she declined, preferring to stay in the US with their children.
“While Harry has expressed his intention to attend the Invictus Games in May and visit his ailing father, King Charles, Meghan’s presence alongside him seems unlikely,” explained royal commentator Esther Krakue.
Security concerns, exacerbated by Harry’s recent legal battle with the UK Home Office over reduced security classification, likely contribute to Meghan’s reluctance to return. “Meghan is avoiding the UK to steer clear of drama and potential conflicts, particularly with Princess Kate,” Krakue suggested.

She added, “I think she’s not going to come because, obviously, Harry has lost his case with the Home Office and he said he doesn’t feel safe bringing his family over [to the UK] and I also think this is going to be a time where distance between the Sussexes and the Royal Family will be calcified because the focus will be on the Princess of Wales and the King recovering, they don’t need the whole Netflix drama.”
Since departing the UK in 2020, Harry and Meghan have resided in the US. Despite Harry’s legal efforts to maintain security for his family, the couple’s decision to stay in America seems firm, particularly with ongoing court battles and concerns about their safety.
