Post Office Explosion In Ukraine Results In 1 Death And 9 Injures

A strike on a post office in Ukraine’s second city Kharkiv killed one person and injured nine others, including a baby on Sunday, local authorities reported.

Oleg Synegubov, the head of Kharkiv’s regional administration, stated, “An eight-month-old baby was among those injured”.

“A man, a post office employee, was killed”, Synegubov added.

Kharkiv has been regularly targeted by Russian troops, who launched a massive ground offensive in the region on May 10.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that the offensive in Ukraine’s northeast was intended to create a buffer zone to safeguard Russia’s border region, Belgorod, from shelling.

On Saturday, seven people were also killed and almost 40 injured in a Russian strike on Vilniansk, near Zaporizhzhia.
