Prime Minister Narendra Modi held bilateral talks with Icelandic Prime Minister Kristrún Mjöll Frostadóttir in Oslo on Tuesday as part of his two-day visit to Norway.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri and senior officials attended the meeting.

PM Modi is in Norway to participate in the third India-Nordic Summit and hold bilateral engagements with Nordic leaders.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the summit aims to deepen India’s strategic engagement with Nordic countries in areas including technology and innovation, green transition, renewable energy, sustainability, blue economy, defence, space and the Arctic.
The summit builds on the earlier India-Nordic Summits held in Stockholm in 2018 and Copenhagen in 2022.
On Monday, PM Modi attended the India-Norway Business and Research Summit in Oslo, which saw participation from CEOs of over 50 companies and more than 250 delegates from Indian and Norwegian business and research communities.
Several agreements between Indian and Norwegian entities were also signed during the event, following the implementation of the India-EFTA Trade and Economic
Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store personally received PM Modi at the airport.
During the visit, the Prime Minister also met Harald V at the Royal Palace in Oslo, where discussions focused on expanding cooperation in emerging technologies.
The Prime Minister’s Office said the two sides highlighted shared democratic values and growing bilateral ties.
Norway also conferred its highest civilian honour for foreign Heads of Government, the Grand Cross of the Royal Norwegian Order of Merit, on PM Modi.
