PM Modi Reiterates Friendship With Palestine As He Meets President Abbas

Meeting Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on the sideline of UN’s Summit of Future, PM Modi reiterated friendship with Palestine. 

In his 3 day visit to US Prime Minister have held several bilateral meetings with representatives of countries, strengthening India’s foreign policy. Meeting Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on the sideline of UN’s Summit of Future, PM Modi reiterated friendship with Palestine.

Informing about his meeting with President Abbas, Prime Minister on platform ‘X’ wrote that India supports early restoration of peace in Gaza and wishes to strengthen the long standing friendship with Palestine. PM also expressed deep concern over the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza during the meet.

As PM Modi reiterated friendship with Palestine, Spokesperson of Extern Affairs Ministry Randhir Jaiswal, later, elaborating about the meet wrote on ‘X’: “PM Modi expressed deep concern at the humanitarian situation in Gaza and reaffirmed India’s continued support to the people of Palestine”.

Additionally, Hamas has attacked Israel on October 7, 2023 in an development of animosity between Hamas and Israel. Israel attacked Gaza in response, killing nearly half a lakh people in continued attacks from almost a year.

Notably Prime Minister is currently on 3 day visit to US to participate in Quad summit and address UN’s summit of Future. He also met representatives of various countries and scheduled to meet CEO of leading American Company.
