Barack Obama, the former US president, urged people to “take in the whole truth” concerning the Israeli-Hamasien war and stated that everyone bears some of the blame.
In a video published on Saturday, he stated, “Nobody’s hands are clean,” during an interview with Pod Save America, a podcast produced by his former White House aides.
Barack Obama emphasizes that everyone has contributed to the crisis and that no one is innocent as he calls on Americans to embrace the truth behind the Israel-Hamas conflict.
In addition, he stated that innocent people died on both sides and that it is important to remember the history of the Jewish people as well as the “madness of antisemitism.”
He stated, “We could continue for a while.”
Obama berated social media for divisiveness in the discussion and for fostering an environment in which people just promoted their own “moral innocence.”
“You can’t speak the truth on social media, TikTok activism, or trying to debate this on that platform,” is the issue. You can strive to keep your moral purity, you can pretend to say the truth, or you can speak only part of the truth, but none of those things will fix the issue,” he stated.

Obama stated, “You have to take in the whole truth if you want to solve the problem.” “And you then have to acknowledge that everyone is somewhat complicit, that nobody’s hands are clean.”
When the Palestinian militant group launched a surprise attack on Israel on October 7, murdering around 1,400 people and kidnapping over 200 more, the conflict between Israel and Hamas broke out.
Israel responded by attacking the Gaza Strip, which is ruled by Hamas, nonstop.
Over 9,000 people have reportedly perished in Gaza, according to the Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry, although the accuracy of this estimate has been questioned in light of the terrorist nature of Hamas.
Obama said that he felt responsible for the crisis as well and questioned whether there was anything he could have done to stop it while he was president.

Because of his disagreements with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about the Iran nuclear deal and the growth of Israeli settlements in disputed areas, their relationship was strained.

He declared, “If you truly want to change this, you have to figure out how to talk to people on the other side, listen to them, and comprehend what they are talking about instead of brushing it off.”
