A military transport plane of the Indian Air Force left for Kochi on Friday, carrying the mortal remains of 45 Indians killed in a horrific fire in Mangaf, southern Kuwait.
On Wednesday morning, a fire killed at least 49 migrant workers and injured another 50.

Indian Embassy in Kuwait tweeted, “A special IAF aircraft carrying mortal remains of 45 Indian victims in the fire incident in Kuwait has taken off for Kochi”, through its official ‘X’ handle.
Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh, who worked with Kuwaiti authorities to expedite the repatriation of the dead, is aboard the flight.
The embassy went on to say, “MoS @KVSinghMPGonda, who coordinated with Kuwaiti authorities ensuring swift repatriation, is onboard the aircraft”.
