An anti-tank missile fired from Lebanon on Monday struck an orchard close to Israel’s northern border community of Margaliot, injuring two and killing an Indian national from Kerala, according to officials cited by news agency PTI.
According to Zaki Heller, a spokesman for rescue services Magen David Adom (MDA), the missile struck a plantation in Margaliot, a moshav (collective agricultural community) in the northern Israeli region of Galilee, on Monday morning at approximately eleven in the morning.
Keralan Patnibin Maxwell, a resident of Kollam, perished in the missile strike. Ziv Hospital identified his mortal remains, PTI cited official sources as saying.

Melvin was admitted to Ziv Hospital in Safed, a city in northern Israel, sustaining minor wounds. He hails from Kerala’s Idukki district.
Earlier, MDA had said that one foreign worker was killed and seven others were injured in the attack.

According to PTI, the attack is thought to have been carried out by the Shia Hezbollah group in Lebanon. Since October 8, the group has been supporting Hamas during the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip by launching rockets, missiles, and drones at northern Israel every day.
According to MDA, the attack caused injuries to seven foreign workers in total, two of them were serious. The injured workers were transported to Beilinson, Rambam, and Ziv hospitals via Israeli Air Force helicopters and ambulances.
