An all-party Indian parliamentary delegation, led by DMK MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, arrived in Slovenia on Monday as part of India’s global diplomatic campaign to highlight Operation Sindoor and the country’s fight against Pakistan-sponsored cross-border terrorism.
Ambassador Amit Narang welcomed the delegation and highlighted India-Slovenia ties and India’s stance against cross-border terrorism.
The Indian Embassy highlighted on X that the two countries share a warm and friendly relationship built on mutual trust and common values.
As a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council, Slovenia plays an important role in global counter-terrorism discussions and peace promotion.
Ambassador Narang said India’s unity and anti-terror stance will boost global counter-terror efforts.
The delegation includes MPs Rajeev Rai, Brijesh Chowta, Prem Chand Gupta, Ashok Kumar Mittal, and ex-UN envoy Manjeev Singh Puri.
Before Slovenia, the delegation visited Russia and gained strong support from officials, lawmakers, and media.
AAP MP Ashok Mittal praised Russia’s firm position against terrorism and its commitment to not tolerating terror in any form.
Ashok Mittal emphasised India’s role as the world’s fourth-largest economy and its deep interconnectedness with global peace and security.
He hoped Slovenia would support India in combating terrorism for global peace.
