In a social media video, several tanks are seen together in the eastern city of Shuzhou on Monday night. It will bring back memories of the Tiananmen Square massacre of 1989, when thousands of Chinese protesters were gunned down by troops with the help of tanks.
On the other hand now the National Army tanks have hit the streets amid the protest which may prove another bloody movement of China. These days, Xi Jinping’s Zero-Covid policy is being opposed in China. At the same time, the Chinese authorities have intensified their action against the protesters. Many military tanks are being seen on the roads of China. According to the report, in a video, several tanks are being seen together in the eastern city of Shuzhou on Monday night. The footage evoked memories of the 1989 Tiananmen Square massacre, when thousands of Chinese protesters were crushed by tanks.
In China, the authorities have intensified their crackdown on the protesters, police officers have also been beaten up to remove the protesters. In the viral video on social media, a woman can be seen screaming as she is arrested by police officers and dragged through a main square in Hangzhou.
According to the same report, a man is trying to stop the police from arresting the woman by shouting, but two officers running towards the protester start shouting on them, asking them to go back. The footage also shows a large crowd of protesters trying to block a group of police officers from arresting two men in Hangzhou. During this, there was a fierce scuffle between the officers and the protesters and the officers are dragging both the protesters by holding their collars.
Many questions are arising after seeing army tanks. Military tanks were seen rolling through the streets of Shuzhou as police officers dragged away protesters on Monday night. Locals questioned whether the tanks were going to Shanghai, but many said it was possible the tanks were simply returning from military exercises. Hundreds of protesters have been demonstrating on the streets for a week in protest against China’s harsh zero-covid policy.
