The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) reported that Iran launched ten drones into Israeli territory throughout Saturday, with one drone striking a two-story residential building in the northern city of Beit She’an.
Israel’s national emergency service, Magen David Adom (MDA), confirmed significant structural damage but no casualties.
Another drone landed in an open area in the Negev desert in southern Israel, causing no damage or injuries.
Israeli air defence systems intercepted the remaining eight drones.
Missiles Intercepted Over Central Israel
Earlier in the pre-dawn hours of Saturday, Iran fired five missiles toward central Israel. The Israeli Air Force successfully intercepted all five, preventing any casualties.
However, the MDA reported that a fragment from one intercepted missile caused a fire in a residential building in the Tel Aviv metropolitan area.
Israel kills senior Iranian commander in targeted strike
The IDF announced it had killed Saeed Izadi, a senior Iranian commander, in a precision strike in Iran’s Qom region.
According to the IDF, Izadi played a central role in coordinating Iran’s military ties with Hamas and was one of the architects behind the October 7 Hamas-led attack on Israel.
In a post on social media platform X, the IDF stated, “Saeed Izadi, a founder of the Iranian regime’s plan to destroy Israel, was eliminated in a precise IDF strike.”

They called Izadi a key link between Iran’s IRGC and Hamas, managing Iranian financial support for attacks on Israel.
Izadi oversaw Hamas operations from Lebanon
According to the IDF, during the war, Izadi directed Hamas forces operating out of Lebanon.
He remained actively involved in rebuilding Hamas’s military capabilities and maintaining its control over Gaza until his death.
The Israeli military continues to maintain heightened alert amid ongoing tensions, asserting that it will respond forcefully to threats against its territory and people.
