On Thursday, a Pakistani investigative agency revealed that there were at least 209 Pakistani victims on an overloaded boat that overturned and sank in open seas off Greece.
According to the information provided by the Federal Investigation Agency, 209 of the missing people were from Pakistan, and 201 families’ DNA samples had been collected by authorities to aid Greece in finding the individuals who had gone missing.

It was unclear on what ground the agency had classified them as victims, with the official death toll from the accident still 82 and 104 survivors, 12 of whom are Pakistanis. Hundreds of people are said to have been on board the ship.
