At a G7 session on international solidarity, PM Modi welcomed progress in West Asia peace efforts and stressed that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only path to resolving conflicts. He noted that regional tensions have disrupted maritime trade and impacted the global economy, while calling for greater protection of seafarers and secure shipping routes through international cooperation.
The Prime Minister also warned of a growing trust deficit in global affairs, saying nations must rebuild mutual trust to strengthen international cooperation.
Reaffirming India’s philosophy of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ or ‘the world is one family’, PM Modi said development delivers the best results when it reflects the aspirations of people. He added that India continues to place humanity first in its domestic and international efforts, a principle that remains central to the country’s approach to global engagement and cooperation.
