First Asian Hydrogen Train: China launches Asia’s first of its kind hydrogen train with semi high-speed with a range of six hundred km.

First hydrogen powered trains has been launched by China in Asia for the Urban Railways getting a total range of 600 km with a single tank. The highest speed it touches is of 160 kilometers per hour.

First Asian Hydrogen Train:  The CRRC Corporation Ltd of China has recently unveiled the country’s first hydrogen urban train and this happens to be the first Hydrogen Train in Asia. This train gets a top speed of one hundred and sixty kilometers per hour. Also its operational range with one refueling is six hundred kilometers.

First Asian Hydrogen Train:  India also is rapidly moving towards making its first-ever Hydrogen train indigenously. In accordance with the  statements of Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, India is going to get its first hydrogen train most likely by the year 2023.

Chinese Hydrogen Train developed on the Fuxing

The Hydrogen train of China was made on the basis of the Fuxing high-speed platform including four cars with it. Two years ago in 2021 also the CRRC introduced this category of a shunting locomotive. Not only that, country’s hydrogen trams were also produced in the decade of 2010.

The CRRC plans to give the train a Digital solutions which includes component monitoring sensors, 5G data transmission equipment along with GoA2 automation. The government of China also expects that the CO2 emissions will be reduced through operation of the train in comparison with the diesel traction till 10 tons per annum.

The First Hydrogen Train of its kind

Prior to China, Germany had become the first nation to operate the world’s first-ever hydrogen-powered trains as passenger fleet. According to the German government, it is going to replace fifteen diesel trains, which earlier were running on tracks that lacked electric supply in Germany. The fleet is comprised of fourteen trains using fuel cells to generate power, and it is now the cleanest-greenest train fleet ever in the world.
