The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) reported a magnitude 6.3 earthquake in Japan’s Kuril Islands on Thursday.
According to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS), the earthquake struck at 2:45 pm (IST) at a depth of 10 kilometres.
The NCS reported the earthquake’s epicentre was located at 44.36 latitude and 149.23 longitude.
The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) tweeted, “Earthquake of Magnitude:6.3, Occurred on 28-12-2023, 14:45:12 IST, Lat: 44.36 & Long: 149.23, Depth: 10 Km, Location: Kuril Islands, Japan”, through its official ‘X’ handle.
As of yet, no casualties have been reported. More information is awaited.
