The two well-known food delivery services Zomato and Swiggy made a kind gesture by expressing their support for the Chandrayaan-3 mission of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). Zomato in particular, which is renowned for its humorous social media posts, pleased online users when it tweeted a photo of “dahi cheeni” (yogurt with sugar) along with well wishes for the mission’s success.

Zomato tweeted the image along with the message, “dear @isro, best of luck for Chandrayaan 3 landing today.”

For those who don’t know, ‘dahi cheeni’ is regarded as a good luck offering and has cultural importance in India. It represents an age-old custom of sending good luck and wishes for prosperous beginnings. Space enthusiasts, foodies, and social media users all noticed  Zomato’s tweet.

Separately, Swiggy shared a heartfelt wish. “1 delivery, 1.4 billion smiles! Wishing #Chandrayaan3 a happy touch down on the moon,” the post read.

Swiggy also substituted a miniature Chandrayaan-3 for the delivery agent in the app. “Chandrayaan is on the way. Swiggy’s finest hour. A user shared a screenshot of the Swiggy map and commented, “Impressive design.

Yesterday, Chandrayaan-3 from India touched down on the south pole of the moon. After the US, China, and the old Soviet Union, India has now accomplished a successful soft landing on the lunar surface. The country also made history by being the first to soft-land on the lunar south pole, which is fascinating because it may mean finding water there.

The landing event was carried live by ISRO on DD National TV and its website. The show kicked off at 5:27 PM. More over 8 million people watched this live, making history, according to sources.
