Students taught to Use ChatGPT
Up until last year, colleges and institutions were not receptive to the idea of incorporating AI into the curriculum. Instead, they were establishing rules for how to prohibit programs like ChatGPT. However, instructors at both small and large US and foreign universities are now instructing students on how to use these tools to their greatest advantage, says the reports. Students are now encouraged to use ChatGPT. Here’s the explanation for this weird notion.
Why does all of this make sense
“Earlier on, we saw a knee-jerk reaction to AI by banning it going into spring semester, but now the talk is about why it makes sense for students to use it,” Lance Eaton, an administrator at Rhode Island-based College Unbound, told the media outlet.
They’ve created Facebook groups with an AI-focused theme, like Higher Ed Discussions on Writing and AI, and a Google group called AI in Education.

It has helped the educators that students use ChatGPT
“It’s really helped educators see how others are adapting to and framing AI in the classroom,” Mr Eaton said. “AI is still going to feel uncomfortable, but now they can now go in and see how a university or a range of different courses, from coding to sociology, are approaching it.”
According to the study, teachers worry that limiting or disregarding the usage of ChatGPT will be detrimental to pupils.

30% of college students utilized ChatGPT
Approximately 30% of college students utilized ChatGPT for academics during the most recent academic year, with English lessons being the most popular use, according to a report. According to the survey, 1 in 8 students saw a gain in GPA, and the majority of them attribute it to using ChatGPT.
According to the survey, college students who used ChatGPT for studying appeared to have a positive experience with it. More than three out of four say they would’somewhat’ (46%) or ‘very likely’ (32%) recommend learning with ChatGPT to another student.
