In an astonishing medical case that left doctors at Medicity Hospital in Moga, Punjab, astounded, a 40-year-old man was found to have a peculiar assortment of objects inside his stomach, including earphones, lockets, screws, rakhis, and more. The startling discovery occurred during surgery after the patient was admitted with complaints of high fever, persistent stomach pain, and nausea that had troubled him for over two days.

Growing increasingly concerned as the stomach pain persisted, medical professionals opted to conduct an X-ray scan to pinpoint the source of the discomfort. What they uncovered was deeply unsettling.

The X-ray revealed a multitude of metallic objects firmly lodged within the man’s stomach. In a complex and lengthy three-hour surgery, doctors successfully extracted nearly a hundred items from his body, including earphones, washers, nuts and bolts, wires, rakhis, lockets, buttons, wrappers, hairclips, a zipper tag, a marble, and even a safety pin.

Dr. Ajmer Kalra, the hospital’s director, expressed his shock, noting that this was the first such case he had encountered in his career. Furthermore, the patient had been grappling with stomach issues for an astonishing two years. Although the foreign objects were successfully removed, the man’s condition remained unstable. The prolonged presence of these items in his stomach had led to additional health complications, Dr. Kalra added.

The man’s family, equally baffled by the revelation, could not determine when or why he had consumed these objects. His parents, in particular, had no insight into how he managed to ingest such an array of items. They revealed that he had been struggling with mental health issues and had complained of severe stomach pain, which disrupted his sleep in the days leading up to his hospitalization. Despite seeking medical attention from multiple doctors, the cause of his pain remained elusive.
