Bengaluru Man Finds Live Snail In Salad Ordered From Swiggy

When a man in Bengaluru discovered a live snail in a salad he had purchased from a nearby restaurant using the food delivery app Swiggy, he was appalled. User Dhaval Singh posted about his negative experience on X (previously Twitter) to alert other users. In addition, he posted a video of the live snail that was perched atop the salad’s vegetables that he had purchased from the neighborhood eatery Leon Grill. “Never ordering from @LeonGrill ever again!” he said in his post and added, “Swiggy, do whatever you can to ensure this sh*t doesn’t happen to others… Bengaluru folks take note”.

Mr. Singh stated that in addition to receiving the tainted salad, his drink order was also inaccurate in the post’s comment section. Even worse, he said that Swiggy only gave him a partial refund when he filed a complaint about the meal delivery service. But Swiggy promptly gave Mr. Singh a refund for the entire order amount.

Mr. Singh was contacted by the meal delivery platform on X and requested to provide the specifics of his order. The situation was deemed “terrible” by the company as well.

On Reddit, Mr. Singh also reported an identical occurrence. “Placed a salad order. a live snail was present in the lettuce. Thank goodness, I noticed it. Never placing another order here,” he wrote. He declared himself “utterly disgusted” by the encounter. “Posted a grievance on Swiggy. He went on to explain in the post’s comments section, “At first they gave a partial refund, then shortly they provided a full refund.

The post was shared by Mr. Singh a few hours ago, and in that time it has received over 18,000 views. In addition, the post has received a tonne of comments.
“Kindly put the eatery on Swiggy’s blacklist! Another user stated, “I’ve also had meals from this restaurant that were either warmed or ruined. “No surprise to me. Happened already. Worst hygiene, care, and responsibility,” shared another. ”

“That’s outrageous! Nowadays Swiggy has become ignorant. A few days ago there delivery executive stole my order & their customer support confirmed the same. They took almost 20 days to refund that too I had to enquire every day. Ugh! It was irritating,” expressed a third user.
