650 E-Carts To Be Arranged In Ayodhya To Take Devotees Around The City

According to officials on Thursday, pilgrims traveling to Ayodhya to pray at the Ram and Hanuman Garhi temples will have access to battery-operated e-carts. The elderly, those with disabilities, and expectant mothers will ride for free on the e-carts or golf carts; the cost for other users will be disclosed soon, according to the statement.

Vishal Singh, vice chairman of the Ayodhya Development Authority (ADA), stated that the 650 e-carts will be available at parking lots throughout the city and will be deployed till March in the first phase.

Entire Ayodhya to be conneted via e-carts

The e-cart project is a part of the ‘hyperloop model’ that is being built to connect the entire Ayodhya. According to Singh, only e-carts would be permitted on the Ram Path, a major road in the centre of Ayodhya, going forward. Four-wheelers will not be permitted.

When the consecration ceremony on January 22 is over, Singh said a significant number of devotees, including the elderly, people with disabilities, and pregnant women, are anticipated to travel to Ayodhya for a ‘darshan’ of Ram Lalla.

E-carts will be available at the parking area for devotees arriving in their cars. According to him, followers can use these e-carts to travel to nearby religious places such as the Hanuman Garhi temple and the Ram temple.

Corporates to lend hands in ‘sewa’

He also mentioned that pregnant ladies, the elderly, and people with disabilities would be able to get wheelchairs at the Ram temple for free.

According to Singh, the ADA has extended invitations to a number of corporate entities that had previously indicated their intention to “serve” in Ayodhya to sponsor the e-cart initiative with monies from their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) accounts.

The proposal would be put into action on a big scale once they give their approval, he added, adding that Tata Projects, the Indian Oil Corporation, and the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation have all made sizable donations to the project.
