Weather Update: Now the cold has started in the country. Due to fog (FOG) in North India, people are facing a lot of problems. Trains are running late due to dense fog. Apart from this, many trains have been canceled due to fog. According to the Meteorological Department, there are chances of very dense fog in Punjab, Chandigarh and Uttar Pradesh (UP) today i.e. on 22 December. However, apart from this, dense fog can also remain for the next two days. In UP, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert till 24 December.

From Punjab and northwestern Rajasthan to entire Haryana, West UP and northern parts of Eastern UP, dense fog has caused havoc. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), visibility was very low in many cities on Thursday. Amritsar recorded 50 meters, Bathinda 0 meters, Patiala and Chandigarh 25, Ambala 50, Ganganagar 25, Bareilly 25, Bahraich 50, Gorakhpur 25 and Palam and Delhi’s Safdarjung 200 meters visibility at 5.30 am Went.

Due to low visibility due to fog in North India, rail and road traffic is being affected. Many trains are running late, some have had to be cancelled. Road accidents have increased. Due to the dense fog, the state government is continuously taking many important decisions. All private-government schools in Gautam Buddha Nagar will open from 9 am today. The District Magistrate has issued an order in this regard.

In the capital Lucknow, today the minimum temperature can be recorded at 10 degrees and the maximum temperature can be recorded at 24 degrees. Whereas, Lucknow will be wrapped in dense fog. The minimum temperature in Ghaziabad can be recorded at 9 degrees and the maximum temperature can be recorded at 22 degrees. Apart from this, there will be dense fog in Ghaziabad as well.

Weather Update : Cold Increased, Fog In Delhi

The minimum temperature in Delhi has remained at 6 degrees for the last several days. At the same time, the maximum temperature can be recorded at 21 degrees. Apart from this, if we talk about pollution, AQI 360 was recorded in Anandvihar area last evening (Wednesday) which comes in very poor category.

Frozen Rivers, Streams And Waterfalls In Ladakh

The coldest weather has started in Kashmir and Ladakh. Rivers, streams and waterfalls have frozen in Ladakh. At the same time, lakes, rivers and drains have started freezing in Srinagar as well. There has not been much snowfall in Ladakh and Kashmir yet, but due to the temperature reaching minus, rivers and streams have started freezing. In the coming time, you can also see snowfall. According to the Meteorological Department, today the minimum temperature in Srinagar can be recorded at -4 degrees and the maximum temperature can be recorded at 12 degrees.
