According to the Meteorological Department, there are chances of very dense fog in Punjab, Chandigarh and Uttar Pradesh (UP) today i.e. on 22 December. However, apart from this, dense fog can also remain for the next two days. In UP, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert till 24 December.

From Punjab and northwestern Rajasthan to entire Haryana, West UP and northern parts of Eastern UP, dense fog has caused havoc. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), visibility was very low in many cities on Thursday. Amritsar recorded 50 meters, Bathinda 0 meters, Patiala and Chandigarh 25, Ambala 50, Ganganagar 25, Bareilly 25, Bahraich 50, Gorakhpur 25 and Palam and Delhi’s Safdarjung 200 meters visibility at 5.30 am Went.

In the capital Lucknow, today the minimum temperature can be recorded at 10 degrees and the maximum temperature can be recorded at 24 degrees. Whereas, Lucknow will be wrapped in dense fog. The minimum temperature in Ghaziabad can be recorded at 9 degrees and the maximum temperature can be recorded at 22 degrees. Apart from this, there will be dense fog in Ghaziabad as well.
