Delhi-NCR Weather: Rain, Thunderstorms Likely As IMD Forecasts Wet Spell

Delhi could see a mix of clouds, rain and thunderstorms on Tuesday, with the likelihood of wet weather rising during the afternoon and evening, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The capital and surrounding areas may experience occasional showers over the next few days as weather conditions become increasingly favourable for rainfall.

The temperature in Delhi is likely to remain between 26 and 34 degrees Celsius, with cloudy conditions expected during the morning and a greater chance of thunderstorms and rain later in the day.

The IMD has indicated that September 2 could bring more widespread rainfall across Delhi-NCR.

Noida will likely remain partly cloudy during the day, with showers possible later.

Temperatures could fluctuate between 25 and 34 degrees Celsius, while the possibility of further rain is likely to remain over the next few days.

In Ghaziabad, the day could start with some sunshine before cloud cover becomes thicker.

Light rain may occur during the afternoon, with temperatures likely to range from 26 to 35 degrees Celsius. The city has not received any specific weather warning.

Faridabad will likely remain warm with partly cloudy skies, while afternoon thunderstorms cannot be ruled out.

The minimum temperature may be around 28 degrees Celsius, with the maximum touching nearly 37 degrees Celsius.

Beyond Delhi-NCR, the weather department has forecast very heavy rainfall in parts of Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and Uttarakhand.

Odisha and Chhattisgarh could receive isolated spells of intense rainfall on Tuesday.

Delhi-NCR’s air quality remained within the ‘moderate’ category, although pollution levels varied considerably between monitoring locations.

The AQI stood at 56 in the Cantonment Area and reached 225 at Wazirpur.

Several other monitoring stations recorded readings ranging between 90 and 182.

Rainfall over the coming days could bring changes in atmospheric conditions and influence pollution levels across the capital region.
