Elon Musk-backed social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, experienced a service disruption on Wednesday morning, with user complaints peaking around 8:30 AM.
The outage affected multiple features of the platform, including the mobile application, website access and content feeds.
According to outage monitoring platform Downdetector, nearly 40 per cent of affected users reported problems with the X app, while 29 per cent experienced issues with feeds and timelines. A further 18 per cent reported difficulties accessing the website.
The disruption came less than a day after users reported another outage on Tuesday evening, making it the second service interruption for the platform within 24 hours.
The latest incident adds to a series of outages that have affected X over the past year.
In May, the platform suffered a widespread global disruption, including in India, leaving many users unable to load new posts or sign in to their accounts.
Thousands reported difficulties accessing webpages, while others encountered problems with the app and login systems.
During the May outage, about 41 per cent of affected users reported login issues, while a similar number faced app-related problems.
X also suffered a global disruption in February that affected users in India, the US and the UK, generating more than 25,000 outage reports.
Another major outage occurred in November last year alongside technical issues affecting websites that rely on Cloudflare.
Earlier this month, Facebook and Instagram also experienced widespread disruptions, with users across several countries, including India, reporting problems loading feeds and refreshing content.
