Samsung is about to shake up the phone world once more. At the upcoming APEC meeting in Gyeongju, South Korea, from October 31 to November 1, 2025, the company will showcase its latest tri-fold phone, a first-ever device that bends into three parts.
The phone, expected as Galaxy Z TriFold, offers the practicality of a smartphone and the screen size of a tablet in a single unit.
Fully extended, the main panel measures 10 inches for media, gaming, or work. Folded, it provides a 6.5-inch display for routine use.
Under the hood, the device packs the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and runs on Android 16 with Samsung’s One UI 8.0, so it should handle multitasking and apps smoothly.
The cameras are impressive too. It has a 200MP main lens, a 12MP ultrawide with autofocus and a 50MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom.
There are also two 10MP front cameras for selfies or video calls. RAM goes up to 16GB, and storage ranges from 256GB to 1TB for plenty of room for apps, photos, and files.
Samsung is planning a limited launch, with only about 50,000 units at first.
The focus will be on high-end markets like South Korea and China, and the price is expected to be over 3 million won (around USD 2,135).
By unveiling the Galaxy Z TriFold at the APEC summit, Samsung shows it’s serious about leading foldable innovation.
This isn’t just a futuristic gadget-the phone gives you big-screen experiences without sacrificing portability.
Open it up, and you have a massive 10-inch display for videos, gaming or multitasking.
Fold it down, and it fits comfortably in a pocket. Designed for work, play and entertainment on the go.
The TriFold proves that foldable phones can be both practical and impressive.
Samsung’s Galaxy Z TriFold demonstrates the company’s ambition to redefine mobile hardware, merging advanced innovation with practical design and potentially setting standards for the next generation of foldable smartphones.
