Samsung has officially set the launch date for its Galaxy S26 series in India, ending weeks of speculation. The company will reveal the new smartphones on 25 February during its first Galaxy Unpacked event of 2026, alongside the Galaxy Buds 4 and Galaxy Buds 4 Pro.
The Galaxy S26 launch will take place in San Francisco, starting at 10:00 AM PT (11:30 PM IST).
Samsung will broadcast the event live on its official website, newsroom and YouTube channel. This will enable audiences in India and other regions to watch the announcements in real time.
Samsung has opened pre-reservations for the Galaxy S26 series and Galaxy Buds 4 range via a dedicated microsite. Customers can reserve a device by paying Rs 999, receiving a Rs 2,699 voucher and additional offers as part of the early-bird benefits.
Industry reports suggest that the Galaxy S26 series will continue with a familiar design, offering refinements rather than major changes.
The Galaxy S26 may feature a 6.3-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 2340 × 1080 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.
The S26 Plus could retain a 6.7-inch QHD+ screen, while the S26 Ultra may carry a 6.9-inch display. All models are likely to include Corning Gorilla Armour 2 protection.
Samsung may continue its regional chipset approach. In Europe, the Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus could use the Exynos 2600 processor, while the S26 Ultra may feature Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. All devices are expected to run One UI 8.5 based on Android 16.
The Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus will likely feature a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilisation. They are also likely to include a 12MP ultra-wide lens and a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.
The S26 Ultra may also include a 200MP main sensor, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, a 50MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 10MP telephoto lens. Front cameras across the series may offer 12MP sensors, AI-based portrait modes, and 8K video recording.
The S26 will feature a 4,300mAh battery, the S26 Plus will come with a 4,900mAh battery, and the Ultra will include a 5,000mAh battery, all supporting 60W wired charging.
All devices will support 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, USB-C, and stereo speakers, providing a full flagship experience.
