Nothing Bets Big On Phone 4a Series For 2026; Skips Flagship Launch

Nothing is set to centre its smartphone strategy around the Phone 4a series in 2026, having decided not to launch a flagship model this year.

The Nothing Phone 4a and Phone 4a Pro are expected to be unveiled at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026 in Barcelona, likely in early March.

While the company has not revealed full specifications, it has begun teasing the launch on social media.

On its official X account, Nothing shared an image featuring the ‘(a)’ symbol in five colours, blue, yellow, pink, white, and black, accompanied by the caption ‘soon’. The teaser suggests that the Phone 4a series will arrive in multiple colour variants.

There is also speculation that the teaser could be linked to the launch of Nothing Headphones (a). Earlier reports indicate that the headphones may come in white, black, pink, and yellow, making the blue variant potentially exclusive to the Phone 4a smartphones.

Expected Pricing Details

Leaks suggest that the Nothing Phone 4a could start at around $475 (approximately Rs 43,000).

The Phone 4a Pro, meanwhile, may be priced near $540.

In India, the Nothing Phone 4a is expected to be launched below Rs 40,000. The Pro variant is likely to remain under Rs 50,000.

Both models are tipped to be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor. They are expected to be paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

The smartphones are expected to feature flat OLED displays with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Phone 4a Pro may additionally offer an IP65 rating for better dust and water resistance.

Battery capacities are said to range between 5,100mAh and 5,200mAh, supporting 50W fast charging. Camera leaks point to a 50MP triple-camera setup across the lineup.

Reports also suggest a refreshed design, raising questions about the future of Nothing’s signature transparent back.

With no flagship planned, the Phone 4a series will play a crucial role in the brand’s 2026 strategy. The official launch is expected around March 5 at MWC 2026.
