Airtel Partners With Google To Offer 100GB Google One Storage Free

Bharti Airtel and Google have announced a new partnership that offers Airtel postpaid and broadband (Wi-Fi) users in India complimentary access to 100GB of Google One cloud storage for six months.

The offer aims to address the growing challenge of limited device storage that smartphone users face.

Free Storage For Airtel Customers, Then Rs 125/Month

Airtel customers can activate the offer and enjoy 100GB of cloud storage at no extra cost for the first six months.

After the free period, Airtel will charge users Rs 125 per month and add it directly to their bill if they choose to continue.

Customers may cancel the subscription at any time to avoid further charges.

Storage Can Be Shared With Up To Five People

The 100GB Google One storage plan allows users to share their storage with up to five additional people, making it a valuable resource for families and small teams.

Users can store data across Google Photos, Google Drive, and Gmail.

The cloud storage service is compatible with Android and iOS platforms, ensuring accessibility for Airtel’s diverse user base.

In addition, the integration supports WhatsApp chat backups on Android, making data migration and device switching smoother for users.

Statements From Company Executives

Karen Teo, Vice President of Platforms and Devices Partnerships, APAC at Google, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership.

“We are excited to partner with Airtel to bring Google One to millions in India. Together, we will make it easier for our users to safely back up photos, videos, and important files with more storage across Google services,” she said.

Siddharth Sharma, Director of Marketing and CEO, Connected Homes at Bharti Airtel, emphasised the growing need for reliable storage.

“With smartphones becoming central to both personal and professional lives, storage has become a critical issue. We are pleased to collaborate with Google to offer secure and user-friendly cloud storage to our customers,” he said.

The initiative aims to help customers avoid the hassle of constantly deleting files or investing in expensive physical storage solutions. With the increasing amount of digital content created daily, this partnership offers a timely and efficient solution to manage personal data.

Airtel’s collaboration with Google reflects a continued push to deliver value-added services that enhance customer experience through digital convenience.
