In a remarkable milestone for India’s digital payments ecosystem, Unified Payments Interface (UPI) transactions hit an all-time high in December 2024.

UPI transactions reached an all-time high of 16.73 billion in December 2024, marking an 8% increase from the 15.48 billion transactions recorded in November 2024.

The Unified Payments Interface (UPI) has recorded 15,547 crore transactions worth ₹223 lakh crore from January to November 2024, the Finance Ministry announced on Saturday.

According to data released by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), UPI recorded a total of 16.5 billion transactions in October.
