Opening Bell: Market Rose After China Said It Would Drop Its Quarantine
Asian share market rose on Tuesday after China said it would drop its quarantine requirements for inbound visitors, further easing three-year border controls aimed at curbing COVID-19. Brent Futures rose 0.73% to $85.12/barrel and WTI Futures gained to $80.21/barrel. Natural Gas Futures jumped 3%.
SGX Nifty Signals A Negative Start
Oil prices rose on Friday on expectations of lower Russian crude exports from the Baltic region in December, offsetting worries that a looming Arctic storm across the United States could snuff out transport fuel demand growth this holiday season. Brent crude rose 88 cents, or 1.1%, to $81.86 a barrel. While U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude was at $78.41 a barrel, up 92 cents, or 1.2% higher.
